Why doesn't Target play music in their stores?
by Doug Wallick
It’s like a morgue. It’s so depressing. Why don’t they play any music in their stores? It makes me not want to go there.

You know I haven’t ever payed much attention, but, I reckon you’re right. Thats not cool.lol

Because they do not wanna be accused of being racist if they play the incorrect type of music.

Possibly it’s a new approach to helping people buy. I notice that frequently when I go into a store with a goal of export certain things, intrusive music makes me forget what I want to buy and makes it more trying for me to find that in the store. I come out with less than I would have otherwise, and a lot more frustrated.
