How valuable do you think an old copy of "Moby Dick" by Herman Melville from 1942 is?

I have a book from 1942, in print by Books, Inc. of Moby Dick any tips on seeing how valuable it is? doubt it is much.

not a fantastic deal as, i take upon yourself that it is not a first edition and not signed possibly 50cents

Most books in print in the US between the Civil War and the 1950s average about $ 2-$ 5 promotion price–if you can even find a buyer. This is for books in excellent condition, hardbound with leather or cloth binding, material which is still in print (like “Moby Dick” is).

Sad, huh? I reckon for that small an quantity of money, it’s cooler to keep the ancient book.

I dont believe it is much, possibly 3 or 4 dollars. I personally reckon that is ridiculous, for a book, but still, I havent even read moby dick soooo…
