How can I find out who's using my kids yahoo messenger account?

Someone has been logging in to my kids account and sending messed up messages.Is there any way to find out who or where the computer is that logged in to send the message? I already sent yahoo messenger a email and I’ll ask me kid who might know her password.I would like to know without using either of those is there a way?
There is no way it could be a virus because of the kind of messages sent.It has personal info in the messages like nick names.

First of all, have her log on and change the password so they can’t log on to her account..

Then check to see if you got infected (if so it wouldn’t matter if you changed your password, but do that first just to stop it right away if it is a cracker.

open one of the messages, either from the Sent folder or from a reply to one of those messages and scroll to the bottom of the body of the message and click “Full Headers” From there you can see the IP address where it came from. See if there is a different one associated with your email address on those emails than the one that is associated with your legitimate emails sent from your usual computer. Then go to Whois.com and type in the IP address and see what ISP owns it, then send a complaint to their abuse email address.

Also, you can get a 2nd email address and link the two, set one to only send mail from it and configure the current one to only receive mail.

You can also set up disposable email address and send all your mail from that address, that way you know when someone is responding to the person using your address. After you set up the disposable address, it is accessible in the “To” area drop down menu to click on when you send emails.

That’s to answer your actual question, the best I know how.

The suggestion that you are infected is more likely the case and needs to be taken care of immediately… If it hasn’t been doing it for very long, you may want to try the “System Restore” feature and restore you computer to a day and time before this happened.
Otherwise, download Free antivirus and HijackTHis! From trend micro and find a forum who will analyze it and inform you. I use Avira AntiVir (free) for antivirus and Malwarebytes (Paid) for anti malware to keep my computer in check.

if the account is accessed on the Yahoo Messenger, there is no way for you to find out who uses it. instead, it’s better to change the password and use a strong one, change some of the info of the account esp the Secret Answer of question and alternate mail add.
<>if the message is sent on the Mailbox, you can find the IP thru clicking the Header. but most likely, you will only get the IP of the computer’s provider and not the person him/herself.

I notice alot of kids posting what do i do about this boy or this girl.
Or my friend. Or what size should my boobs be. Or asking sexual questions. I think yahoo should dedicate a part of yahoo answers for kids & teens.
No offense but as an adult I get uncomfortable with some of these questions that MINORS ask.

I have wanted this to be done for a long time. I have even posted a similar question about it. They really need to do this; however kids are very inventive and would no doubt find a way around it.
