How can you record a Google video chat?

How can you record a Google video chat?

My dad is overseas in Pakistan and we only talk to other each two months, and when we do, I really want to record our conversations. Is there a way to do that? We use the video chat on Google Talk. Thanks.

I use CamStudio for recording my screen during video cht. The free download link is in this article:

Google Video Chat

Is there any taskbar app or way to link to Outlook so I can get a video chat notification without having my gmail logged into? The only way I can see how to do it is to sign on to google mail through IE, but I despise having the browser window open all the time. Anyone know how to do this?

The simplest way is to bed in GTalk (http://www.google.com/talk). It will run in the background (not in browser) and say you of incoming chat requests.

Another fantastic tool is the Google Notifier (which works w/ e-mail and calendar notifications) for those by Google Apps (gmail, calendar, etc). http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper

While they will receive their yearly bonuses, the state of Google’s social media success or failure at the time the bonuses are handed out will determine 25 percent of their payments.
