i dont reckon u can do that man…google files are encrypted on a diff format..try if u can get a plugin or a codec for media player

best bet is to convert it. try the link below, but it has a 21 day limitation

my partner microchipper told me this one…. open notepad and then in notepad open the google video file that you want by going to the folder it’s in and selecting “all file types” when it opens you will see a load of writing, just go through in anticipation of you find the bit that says “url:http” including the http bit, copy the rest of the text and paste it into the top of your browser then click “go” it should open a download link which is the original file without the googles encryption on it. you should then be able to play it in media player. doesn’t work for all files and you may need to convert into a different file type but this is made a whole lot simpler by the fact the googles “GVP/GVI” coding isn’t on it anymore.

instead of the google video player you get another video player with a different design, can you get viruses from that?

Answer by jdc
you can get a virus from anything…. is it somethig to be worried of? doubtless not…. if you’re that worried about getting a virus, dont use the internet. produce there’s a remote chance of even getting a virus from youtube

Give your answer to this question below!

This video demonstrates how Windows users are offered the setup file for Google Video Player or a Google playlist file (GVP) when trying to download an AVI clip. A Greasemonkey script provides direct access to the AVI file and removing a Google list entry from the AVI-header with a hexeditor enables Windows Media Player to render the video. The script is available for free: 1024k.de
