Is is illegal to purchase music downloads on Amazon and pretend that there is an issue and demand a refund?

I dont reckon it has anything to do with karma, because digit one, it’s not really an object that i stole, and digit two, many people illegally download music and pirate stuff and nobody catches them!
i could not get caught and face officially authorized issues, could i?

Surely you aren’t serious? You want to return the item for a refund, but keep a copy? That’s called fraud, a simpler crime to prove even than pirating, since it requires you to actively lie to obtain a benefit.

What you are describing is called “fraud,” and yes, it’s illegal.

Making fake claims over goods and/or services received is fraud, and is punishable by law.

If you believe in karma it absolutely IS an issue.

Is it illegal? Doubtless not. But its absolutely unethical. You’re lying and cheating them out of their money. I would be shocked if they really gave you the refund. Its right many people illegally download without getting caught, but that doesnt’ make it right or acceptable for you to do it.

I have a zune, and i cant seem to get a few songs off the zune software, right now i just need one song, and on amazon.com i can download an mp3 version for a dollar.Would it be able to go on my zune?

I can’t say for sure since I have not tried it. I will suggest this since it works with music I’ve bought from other online stores. Burn it to a cd then rip it into Zune if you can’t get it to go directly on the Zune.
