Q&A: Does this sound realistic?

Q&A: Does this sound realistic?

In this Horror Novel I’m writing, a 19 year ancient girl works at a Pub called the Cheshire Cat (Yes it’s officially authorized, if your 19 you can work with Alcohol, you just aren’t allowed to drink it in anticipation of age 21) anyway, her pervy boss Jerome flirts with her, when she rejects him, he insults her, and makes her lock up at around 10pm as it’s a sunday or something. He leaves her all lonely and goes home, as do the last remaining patrons and barstaff, our current main reputation, Natasha, the barmaid, cleans up a bit, puts stuff away, then goes to the bathroom to freshen up before locking it, (as she’s going to meet an ancient highschool sweetheart) as she is about to leave, somebody turns the jukebox on, and she is suddenly met with some oldie music. She goes to the jukebox eventually, before seeing in lipstick, it says turn around on the glass, she turns and screams and is attacked by a killer with a hatchet. Long tale small, she is chased through pub and jumps through shut window to escape, killed with a hatchet to the back of the head, then the next day, they find she has been partially eaten by guarddogs, let out by the killer afterwards.

Anyway, besides all this: Would a pub have guard dogs to ward off thieves? That and anything unrealistic you see in the description.

The pubs around here don’t tend to have guard dogs and I live in the redneck-backwoods so just about anything is possible but I don’t reckon it’s very realistic. Also, this is the incorrect category.

Lipstick on the mirror, hmmm, oddly familiar. Bars close at 10 on Sundays? 19 yr olds can work with alcohol? This tale must be based somewhere other than everywhere I’m from. Everywhere? (Just my curiosity) The jukebox bit sounds familiar too. These are scenes from some horror flick I’ve seen. Are you sure you don’t want to be a small more creative? I estimate there believable, but not original. Sorry to say it my friend.

guard dogs seem a bit unrealistic, could be the landlords dog that the landlord forgot to feed

Well, a pub doubtless wouldn’t have guard dogs, but my next-door neighbour used to have two German Shepherds and he didn’t do anything special. You could just say they’re the landlords dogs.

I found this ancient jukebox show in a ancient abandoned building in the dessert, i thought it looked fascinating, since it displays that all of the music that it stored. I did see a couple of warped 45′s though the rest of the jukebox could not be found. when i saw this i couldn’t help but wonder who the jukebox belonged too and everywhere it once was, and the fun and happiness it brought.
