Web radio music royalties?

Hi and thanks in enhancement for any info. I am in canada to know better the situation

I have a blog and we are adding a podcast to it for our readers. It is a talk radio podcast.

I want to know if I can place music in between my segments without having to payroyalties?

The show will be 95% talk radio wth a couple breaks and I want to know if I can fill up that free time with music.

Am I allowed t Use a full song, up to xx secondes or nothing at all?

Perhaps the most common day-to-day application of royalties that most consumers can relate to involves those paid for the use of copyrighted material. Each time a song is played on the radio, a royalty fee is paid by the station for playing that song. Each time a cable television provider transmits the signal of a broadcast television channel, such as superstation WTBS out of Atlanta, it pays that station a royalty for the right to show it. Each book, magazine, and newspaper in print in the United States is protected by a copyright, and royalties must be paid any time a part of a print product is reproduced by anyone other than the publisher.

I’m not sure what’s going on the the first answer. The link takes you to a weird Google search – I’d avoid it.

I prefer iTunes, Windows Media Player or AOL because they are huge companies that are not going to clutter up your computer (well, with the possible exception of AOL). They are all free and all offer an astounding array of choices.

Only in the AM.. they are lame but get raunchy as conservatives in the deep south can get raunchy too…
Who else would have a straight man, a black man, a redneck, and a gay man all in the studio (But it’s only 2 actual guys in the studio)
