I want to start an online store selling electronic music equipment. Any Advice?

I want to seel all items like audio interfaces, rack mount gear, microphones, headphones, etc. All the best gear.

Could I set this kind of business up without carrying inventory in a warehouse, and still be able to offer a competitive price?

First thing buy a domain name, I use godaddy.com to buy my domains. Then you need to host your site you can do that though godaddy or another hosting provider. But most importantly I recommend being able to accept credit card payments yourself by opening your own merchant account, you can go to www.merchantisland.com it's quick and simple to apply. I did it and got approved quickly and it was free! I was what they considered to be high risk because of my low credit score but, I was amazed at how quick and simple I was able to get started. My business has taken off since I started accepting credit cards. Hope this helps. Excellent luck!

Give your answer to this question below!

Do any of the minds out there have a clue as to how you would go about starting an online business? I want to sell music equipment online, but dont have the wharehouse or physical store to ship from. So my ideal goal would be just a middle man everywhere people could buy, and then the product would come directly from the manufacturer. Ive googled it, and came up with nothing,(that didnt seem like the best way to about it.) So anyone out there with any input would greatly appreciated

1. Make a list of the Equipment you want to sell.
2. Do Promote Research (i.e. Finding the largest promote segments and optimizing on them.)
3. Go to the manufacturer and see what type of deal there willing to come to.
4. Register a Company Name, Trademark, and Web Take up.
5. Have a Website made.
6. Arrange for an account with a carrier for deliveries.
7. Being Marketing (Online and at Music Events and tradeshows)
8. Wait for the orders to come in.

Whist there is more to it than that, they are the basics.

Remember, these 4 points.

1. Promotion
2. House
3. Price
4. Product

If you can get the above 4 points right then you should be ok.

Hope this Helps,

Paul
