How many songs do you have on your iPod/ MP3 Player/ Computer or where ever you have it? +Polls?

Poll: Did you buy it or downloaded it illegally?
Poll ii: What kind of music do you listen to?

Usually I just check the top 20 songs on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart every week, they’re usually excellent songs, but I also like listening to bands that are not too well loved or that are just starting their music career.

Assuming you once liked it. I downloaded every hit song from 1954 to 1975. I got a list of the top 100 by just typing in the year and then looked for the list of the top 100. Then I downloaded them. I got the top 50 up until 1959 and then the top 100 for every year after that. It was fantastic. I got to listen to songs I had not heard in years. If you go to Billboard they’ll want to charge you for the list. But you can get it for free on the WWW.

Rock & Roll is ALL I listen to, mostly 60′s to 70′s; my daughter gave me Hendrix’ “West Coast Seattle Boy” anthology and Janis Joplin’s Greatest Hits for Christmas. Like ‘em!

Answer by Joe Barns
No, I am from an earlier era, so Rock and Roll was not my kind of music. Perhaps we all like the music we had as teens. I listened to the 1940s music which was the same music my parents and grand parents listened to.

Answer by Gort
Of course I do. There is a DJ named Steve Goddard who has a show that plays oldies. Check it out on the web, if you are interested. I was a teenager in the 60′s.

Yes, I delight in listening to the hits of the 50′s, 60′s, and 70′s. This is what I grew up with but there many others genres that I delight in also … Country, Country & Western, Jazz, the Blues, Simple Listening, Huge Band, and Classical too but … the 50′s and 60′s are my favorite because they have so many memories of my youth emotionally involved to them.

Thanks for your info. I’ll look into it.

Gaga’s “Born This Way” projected to sell 800,000 copies
NEW YORK (Billboard) – Promotions around Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” — including Amazon’s controversial choice to sell digital copies of the album for just 99 cents on Monday and Best Buy’s giveaway of the album with a smart phone — have both pumped sales expectations and caused gripes in the retail sector about how the album sales will be tallied for the Billboard 200.
