How to make my yahoo messenger status not to auto change when I edit my profile information?

I have Yahoo Messenger 9 and when I exchange my profile information my reputation is auto changing into “Update has updated basic information”? That also happens when I entered a blog on yahoo 360. How to make that happen no more?

Sign in if prompted to.
There’s one that says ‘Reputation Updates’. Exchange it to ‘No One’.
If you don’t see it then you will need to click ‘Show All Yahoo! Sources’ first. Then you’ll get this ridiculously long list of completely irrelevant things to have to choose ‘No One’ on and no way to get rid of them.
Click the orange ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.
You will not get the usual orange bar at the top of the page to authenticate the save.

I’ve already free the option in Preferences that says “Automatically start Yahoo! Messenger” on startup. So when I start my computer new it doesn’t load up. But when I’ve place my computer to sleep and wake it up, the messenger still pops up!

It is very annoying, please help!

Start>(accessories if vista)>Run>type MSCONFIG> services (click the box that says hide all microsoft services or you will have a very hard time)> then uncheck yahoo. Glad to help.

The additional answerer is nearly assess, but that method will often block Messenger from ever opening. To prevent Messenger or any additional program from loading on Startup, go to Start, Run and type in ‘msconfig’ (without the quotation inscription). In Vista or Windows 7, type ‘msconfig (no quotation inscription) in the address box.
Then in the new window that opens, click the Startup tab, scroll down the list and un-check Yahoo! Messenger. The next time you re-boot, Messenger will not open – you can still open it at any time through the Programs list.
