What separates Case Western Reserve University from equally to lower ranked universities?

What separates Case Western Reserve University from equally to lower ranked universities?

Answer by ownpool
In The US News listing, it stands out in its student faculty ratio of 9 to 1, which results in many more smaller classes and fewer larger ones. This ratio is as excellent or better at only 8 universities between
C-WR (ranked tied for 41st) and Northwestern (12th). It is equal to or better than all lower ranked universities in the top 50 except one, and that one additional school is a very unfailingly oriented school which appeals mostly to members of its religious conviction.
CW-R’s relative rankings are very similar for faculty resources rank to the ranking categories I have just discussed.

On the additional hand, it admits a much higher percentage of applicants than most additional schools of equal or slightly lower ranking and its class consists of a lower number of students who were in the top ten per cent of their high school classes than do most of the similar schools.

But, we now come to the paradox that its median SAT rankings are higher than nearly all the additional schools in its ranking group, so that it is apparently drawing students from very competitive high schools.

Its financial resources rate and ancient pupils charitable ranking and rate are also high for its category.

This produces a picture of a very rationally oriented school with very excellent financial resources. Surprisingly its graduation rate, when compared to the expected graduation rate of top 50 schools, is near the bottom, but it is still 81% which is an average percentage for its category. These statistics indicate to me that CW-R is a very excellent school for bright students who are not admitted to a higher ranked school and who want to work hard in small classes. Anyone who is admitted should be very pleased to receive the offer.

If I were admitted and were not admitted to a higher ranking university or liberal arts college, I would want to concentrate so long as I were interested in a science or engineering major, were willing to endure the winters of Cleveland, Ohio, and received a sufficient financial package. C-WR is very generous with financial packages.

It is exceptionally well known. They work with University Hospitals in Cleveland. It is very well endowed which earnings that if you are rationally capable you will more than likely receive a scholarship. They also trade information with additional hospitals and universities in the area. Such as the Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland State University. Any med school will recognize this university.

It’s very well-known, and a very excellent school.

My friend got a full-ride there, and turned it down for a way more expensive school. I was like, he’s crazy.
