How to uninstall skype completely from my computer?

My skpybe got an error, so I thought reinstalling it would fix the error.
I uninstalled it from control panel, but it said skype is installed on my pc when I reinstalled it.
Restarting my pc didnt make sense.

Many programs require a Restart to complete any installation or uninstallation.
Uninstalling from Control Panel should remove it completely.
The Microsoft Office 2010 I installed days gone by required a Restart as the very final step

Go to ccleaner.com

Download and install the software (its completely free)…

Run the software, go to tools – uninstaller option.

Uninstall skype over there… If you cannot uninstall click on “Delete entry”

Click on registry cleaner and clean the registries after the un-installation process…

I had the same problem on my lab computer but i didn’t figure that problem out. Try to go to Windows button -> type ‘msconfig’ -> press ‘Startup’ and unmark Skype. Not sure if it helps…

Make sure that Skype is not running and there’s no icon in system tray.
If it so – then you cannot uninstall it.

Do you remember what erroe message you got?

1. Check if Skype is in system tray (near the system clock).
2. If Yes – close it (right click and choose “Close” option).
3. Go to [Start] > [Control Panel] > [Add/Remove Programs Tool] > try to uninstall it again.

If that doesn’t help, download CCleaner, and try to uninstall.

You may maybe try a fix by going to Start then Run. Now type in ‘msconfig’ without the quotes. Open the Startup Tab. Scroll down the list and untick anything relating to Skype. Now click apply, click ok. Re-boot your computer. Ultimately when your computer boots you will be presented with a new pop-up window – tick do not show again.

Now try Control Panel > Add/Remove (Skype)

Firstly you will need to download skype. You can only make free calls if they are to another person with Skype, otherwise you need to pay for the calls on a per small basis (which is still reasonably cheap). If the person you want to call has skype, you will need to add them to your list, and when you are both online you can talk to eachother!
