How do you stop Yahoo Answers closing a question with stupid answers?

How do you stop Yahoo Answers closing a question with stupid answers?

I know Yahoo did that at the beginning, in a rush to fill the site up with answers and make it grow… but I don’t see the a excellent reason for closing a question with a stupid answer just because it expires. They should not expire, otherwise, in a future, there would be a lot of garbage answers. Do I have to question again to give an opportunity to someone that really knows the answer?
Is there a way to prevent / revert / stop that?

You may maybe always extend your question to make time for additional answers.

You have to take the excellent with the terrible.

Well, public can get off their ass and pick their best answer themselves. Instead of letting the voters pick the answers for them which is usually the incorrect answer if public are voting for themselves.

That would at least reduce the number of questions that close with dumbass answers. Pushing back an expiration date, doesn’t really help if you reckon about it.

Yanswers is essentially about communication.

It takes 2 to Tango.

If you don’t get what you want you have to do a bit of looking in the mirror stuff and question the same business but in a different way.

Yanswers isn’t here to spoon feed us, we are all different and all changing at different speeds 24 hours a day.

Why does Yahoo Answers have these different levels and why are there restrictions at the lower levels for how many questions or answers you can have in a day?

I am not understanding why one has to get to a certain level before they can post boundless answers. What is Yahoo Answers rationale or reasoning for this?

Just curious.

Answer by Gabrielle
My personal opinion about this, is that Yahoo wants only persons users who seriously answer questions and site sources to be able to post boundless questions and answers. This makes it so that only the most accurate answers are provided.

When any system is set up, to be viable, rules and restrictions are established. Over time, if they are proven unworkable, they will be changed. In this case, to determine why a multi billion dollar corporation would have a team determine best practices for a non chat question and answer site would be speculation. Just like a certain franchise’s secret sauce or a soda pop manufacturer’s secret formula, we don’t know.

It limits spammers to just 20 answers per day

Quora gives veto power to persons targeted by comments
So you don’t like what someone wrote or questioned about you on Quora? Fret not, my delicate friend, because now you may simply question that the offending comment or question be deleted … and your wish will Quora’s mandate. Such seems to be the bottom line of a policy exchange announced late last week by the trendy question-and-answer site that has built a reputation for attracting movers and shakers who …
