Preferrably top 40 for every month from 1988 to 2008.

By curiosity want to know roughly how many singles would you need to sell to get a top 100/40/10 single in the UK recently? is it still about 1000 ish to get in top 100? and 2500 to get into top 40? or have things changed. Thanks
