Do the radio stations produce the commercials? Or does a separate studio do that?

Do the radio stations produce the commercials? Or does a separate studio do that?

I was wondering if the radio stations have voice talents that make the commercials for people who want to advertise. Or does another studio do the recording and then give it to the radio station to play?

I wasn’t sure if the radio station was a one stop shop or if I need to find someone to produce the recording separate from export air/advertising time from the radio station.

Thanks for your help!

Few radio stations do ads for businesses. It’s a huge industry in and of itself making ads for radio, just like television. The rare exception includes NPR, and right wing talk radio advertising LifeLock and other crap….

limited only. a few local advertisers might use such services. many will use a separate advertising agency which arranges that, either locally or nationally.

Once a week, the DJ’s have to do their “voice work” everywhere they help businesses produce commercials or the DJ’s just do them. Most businesses don’t have huge budgets for ads and rely on the radio station to help them.

They have a signal studio with microphones and signal effects and music for background. It doesn’t take long to do a 30 second ad.

Honestly, there aren’t very many radio stations (at least, everywhere I live), that play excellent hard rock and metal. Just tell your parents to quit treating you like a four year ancient and buy the CDs with your own money.
