limewire???
ok, i installed limewire yesterday, but everytime i tried to open it, it wouldnt open. so then i uninstalled it. now im trying to reinstall it but its telltale me that i have a grown-up version running and that i need to exit out of it and try again. im so confused! can some help me on what to do? and also tell me hoe to use limewire, cuz i was messing with it yesterday (before it was doing that stuff) and i didnt really get how to work it…so help is appreciated!

try restarting the computer, uninstall it if its not already done and then reinstall it.

If you press CTRL + ALT + DELETE (all at the same time) and then release, a window should come up called Task Administrator. If you go to the Processes Tab and look for something along the shape of “limewire” (.exe) select it, then click End Process at the bottom. Be careful what you end here, and make sure that you only End things with your name next to them, not System, at least – not completely failsafe so just be careful, but ending limewire should be fine.
Then try again.
If not you could try downloading something like YourUninstaller and trying to fix/uninstall anything by that. If not again then reboot and try again, and if you can get into Limewire, try downloading Limewire Pro and see if that works any better for you. (All done at your own risk

This happened to me. Everytime I tried to open it, it wouldn’t open. What I did is restart my compter and then reinstall it. Trust me, it works! Hope this helps. <3333

It may be because you have an grown-up computer. If you do get it working you can use it by typing in the name of a song or artist and clicking search. As the search results come in you can click one and press download. The download status will appear toward the bottom of the screen. When the song is complete you can listen to it or drag it into your itunes library. Then clear the song out of the download section.

Yes i use limewire…just like a week ago…only downloaded like 10 songs so far…and ive heard things lol.

I use Limewire to download songs for my own use.
I do not burn them to sell.
I do share some of my downloads but not all.

Lol well U and I very well know, if you are downloading any stuff for free there might be chances that someone might trace you as you are connected too. Though there is a honest usage policy which does exist. If you download loads and loads there are chances they might try and trace you. Though if its petty things like songs and stuff they won’t bother unless those songs or stuff are related to terrorism or smuggling or promotion against copyrights. About problems yes you might download some trojans or adwares or malwares as its a open p2p. To be safe from that just remember while scrolling through the list of searches just hold your mouse pointer on the file and if its genuine it should give U a tip box.If U don’t … avoid downloading that file.Decreasing chances of getting caught is by a software to hide your real ip. Go check www.cooltoad.com for free downloads of songs. And thank me in your mind if you like the site.

Lot’s of people use Lime-wire including me, I’ve been by it a couple of being now, mostly for music although I have downloaded a couple of programs there too & Movies…Although now when I want a Movie I just go to http://www.ovguide.com There all new movies and can be streamed or sometimes downloaded, so that saves me from going to Limewire for Movies. I’ve downloaded countless amounts of music throughout the being from limewire. Just for my own personal use though..
For the rest of your question about downloading songs, when you download songs from limewire they go directly into your library. Go there click ‘Explore button’ that will show you exactly what you’ve downloaded. If you want to put them in your mp3 or i-pod just drag and drop them in! Connect your mp3 Or i-pod>>Open my computer>>you will see your i-pod there>>open up Limewire>>Go to Library>>Then explore>>then drag the song you want to your i-pod. What I do to my downloaded songs is place them unto my i-pod. I hope this is what you meant and it helps you!

-Most of the people in the world who knows about limewire and like downloading for free. I been by it for about 5 year since I was questioned to downlod songs.

- Yes there is, mostly, you get virus when by limewire.You may be sued if you downloaded something not excellent.

- You can use proxy. And never download a copyrighted materials.

- If you have downloaded a copyrighted softwares, etc…

-If you really likes downloading illegaly, there is no safer sites on this. Just be careful on what you are downloading.

Hey, I wouldn’t use LimeWire if I were you, it is illegal and full of malware and spyware (basically viruses) so you should get FrostWire…it is better than LimeWire and is 100% officially authorized (www.frostwire.com) you can get torrents from www.mininova.org and open them with FrostWire… Torrents are the way to go!
