does anyone know of any excellent jazz radio’s online?

I use a website called www.live365.com that has over 10,000 stations with a search so you can just enter a few artists names or you can select by genre or catagory. Lot’s of them are open (free) and no commercials. I have it running in the background all the time, streams well if you have a excellent tie.

I usually just go to Pandora.com, type in Miles Davis, Billie Holiday etc. and listen to whatever comes up.

WKCR 89.9 is a excellent jazz station with some classical music and opera. Theres a Charlie Parker show on 8:20 in the morning with a fantastic disc jockey named Phil Schaap.

i was in tenerife last month and in the hotel they played this jazz music radio station around the poolside and in the reception area i belive it was american because of the accents of the people talking and adverts and i also reckon it was online becasue i heard a windows signal once but does anyone who what this station is called and could i listen to it in the UK? the hotel was called playa olid

I’m not sure how you could find out exactly which one it was, unless you called the hotel and questioned them. It is liable to be one of these stations, and who knows, you may even find one you like better
