When I watched the furies it kinda made me wonder, such as the whole jealous husband thing, and Cyerene’s husband mysterously comes home, then when Xena’s 7 her mom kills her so called father. And if Xena was Ares kid why would he deny it when yet he didn’t deny that Evander was his son. And if Xena is Ares’s kid why have a like affair with her, when that is just sick and disgusting?

Yes and No. The show never answered that directly.It was left up to the viewers.
Idk about Evander,I’m estimate that is from Hercules as I’ve only watched Season 1
and the Cross-Overs of HTLJ.
It would make alot of sense, Xena’s Fighting Skills,Her Desire to Fight. I mean she beat Ares in a honest fight,either that or he let her win. But as far as her biological father, I don’t reckon so. I reckon it was just a way for Xena to out-wit Ares and The Furies,so she wouldn’t be doomed to madness prosecution for the rest of her life. It made alot of sense,but I don’t believe it.

I really agree with the person above me. It was something left to the viewers to choose what they believed. I personally reckon Xena is not Ares’ daughter. And that’s what made it so fantastic that she could pull out a convincing enough tale so that the Furies would give her sanity back.

It isn’t odd to find brothers and sisters, or other family members having kids in Greek mythology. Ares himself had an affair with Aphrodite, for example. So yes, even though it may be sick and incorrect to us, we can’t forget they had a different mentality in those days.
