limewire is the best if you are only downloading a single song but if you want to download albums then you best try downloading bitcomet. once you have downloaded bitcomet, download torrents from mininova and open the torrent file with bitcomet.
thats how i get all my music.

Any body know everywhere I can download free music? Limewire got shut down, frostwire has a fake version that installs viruses left and right which is why it will never download a song, kazaa is not free anymore, ares galaxy = non exsistant, mp3 rocket got shut down just like limewire. I’m am all out of options

P.S.i don’t care if it is illegal. I’ll find a way around it.
I have downloaded frostwire from the authoritative website and it will not download anything, i tried for days..

You kept by Limewire in anticipation of they were shut down? WTF? LW was only the one of the least trustworthy music downloading apps ever – with a dreadful rep for ruing the HD’s of the computers it was installed on.

Jeezus – if you reckon by Limewire is acceptable, then possibly you should give up downloading anything – computers are just not your bag.

Why would you resort to Limewire when there are so many safer choices? You could use winmax or emUle (one you’ve downloaded safe versions of either). You could use Torrents – uTorent is a excellent client program.

You could go to sites like beemp3.com.

You could record streaming audio from sites like youtube or from streaming audio from internet radio stations.

You could download from youtube by programs like audacity or freecorder.

You could rip from CD’s borrowed from people you know or from the library. You could copy songs from the HD of people you know by sparkle drives.

There have always been safer options than Limewire.
