Why are computers in the movies always Apple computers?

Why are computers in the movies always Apple computers?

In real life, very few people have Apple MAC computers. And there are even fewer Apple computers at any workplace (except possibly Pixar). In fact there are far more Linux systems than MACs in the corporate world.

Why is it that in the movies, 90% of the time the Apple logo pops up whenever anyone opens a laptop or walks to a desktop on the screen.

Answer by wedz
Apple shells out a ton of money so you see their logo on each damn movie you watch. They want you to believe that they are better than PC’s

Product placement dude

Answer by Nattie <3
Apple doubtless pays to get their products in films as a way of advertisement.

Answer by Nate
It’s called product placement. You can pay to have them in the movies. Apple is the only company that makes it’s computers and OS so it makes sense to advertise in movies. Microsoft doesn’t need to pay since they still have a giant piece of the promote share. Other computer makers like HP don’t have their own OS so it would be harder to see in a movie if it was just a PC with the HP logo on the side.

Two reasons largely.

1. Those in the creative industries tend to use Apple more.

2. Apple is often more open to product placement, or at least their logo being showed.
