When is the best time to list old college text books on eBay?

I have numerous ancient text books that I am thinking of promotion on eBay. Should I wait to the start of the fall semester or just list them now? Or is there a better way to sell textbooks?

NOW…some college start in Dignified and promotion on eBay takes a while as well as receiving the text books (which should go MEDIA mail…the cheapest). Otherwise shipping will cost the buyer a fortune.

Never, list them on half.com… no fees in anticipation of you sell them… make sure to factor in extra shipping fees into price, because they are usually heavier than standard books and so you need more than the allottment half.com gives you so add 2 dollars extra..

I wrote this allusion book 23 being ago (yes, I was only 10 at the time…) Why anyone would try to sell it on ebay is beyond me. But I just like the note on it — "former allusion library copy meaning it was never used" – nice they reckon it’s a "fantastic book" though. :-)

I’ve been trying to get rid of books on Ebay but nobody’s export. I’ve been thinking of promotion the books on Amazon. Amazon seems to have more fees, but if I can sell the books at a higher price, it will be worth it. Amazon doesn’t have a listing fee I reckon, but Ebay does.

BOOKS ARE A TOUGH SELL as you are finding out. Ninety-nine percent of books don't command a fantastic deal of money. Before you waste your time, visit larger used book booksellers on the web such as Abe's Books:

http://www.abebooks.com/

For each book, see what the booksellers are asking for the book. Then you may want to set up your guidelines as to whether you want to list the book or not. Perhaps these guidelines may work for you:

If used booksellers are asking $ 5 or less for the book, don't bother. Promotion items for $ 5 or less at eBay, in my opinion, is a time and energy waster for small return. If this is the case, you may just want to group a lot of 3-5 books in one auction listing and categorize your listings either by author or subject matter.

If used booksellers are asking $ 5-$ 10 for the book, I'll let you choose.

If used booksellers are asking $ 10+ for the book, list it.

If you don’t see the book listed at Abe’s, then:

1. It is extremely rare and worth a small fortune

or

2. It is worthless. ('Gently' house it in your recycling bin or donate it.)

Then you have book sellers who will pay for your books:

http://bookscouter.com/

Keep in mind, though, these buyers will not want all or any of your books. Also, they are export them to resell at a profit. As such, you will get low-ball indiscriminate price offers………..if they want the book.

Both eBay and Amazon will be 'just as terrible' when it comes to promotion USED books. I didn’t mean to burst your bubble, but such is life the ‘book world.’ Excellent Luck!

I prefer Amazon for numerous reasons. First of all, Amazon does not have upfront fees. Ebay not only has fees, but you also have to factor in the time to really make the listing. Amazon is super simple since you place in the isbn digit and out in your condition and price. Amazon even has a program everywhere you can ship a huge box of books for you and they will handle all fulfillment. I sent them a massive box of books when I cleaned out my house and they took care of everything.

The Jungle Book (Fully Restored 30th Anniversary Limited Edition) [VHS]

This video is the original Walt Disney’s Junglebook.Disney’s 1967 animated feature seems even more entertaining now than it did upon first release, with a hall-of-fame vocal routine by Phil Harris as Baloo, the genial bear friend of feral child Mowgli. Based on fiction by Rudyard Kipling, the film goes its own way as Disney animation will, but the strong characters and smart casting (George Sanders as the villainous tiger, Shere Khan) make it one of the studio’s stronger feature-length carto
