I’m unsure of what you mean? Google lets you search for shops but also lets you explore the whole earth. You might be thinking of google maps on their website.

Aerial Photo vs. Google Earth
Now that Google Earth is available for Mac, I’ve been having some fun. On the left is an aerial photo of a town in Alberta, which I took in 2004. On the right is the same view reproduced in Google Earth, which reported the apparent altitude as about 8 km, or 26,000 feet, which seems about right.
is there any other websites out there that is like google earth? i tried google earth and it is real blurry.

Of course, yo to Yahoo maps, then use the beta version, and click on the satellite view.
also you may search for web sites that offer higher resolution, but are not free.
Answer by siervocal
Of course! You can use websites like
http://maps.live.com/
http://maps.yahoo.com/beta/index.php#
Or you can download other similar programs like NASA world wind:

Edit – remember that if you live in a small town, or out in the country it will most liable not show the house as clearly as it would show a city.

Google Earth only has sharp distinct pictures in densely populated areas, and even those are a bit blurry… I can make out my driveway, but you can’t tell if there is a vehicle in it or not. I don’t know of any sites that are as inclusive as Google Earth though. If you enable the road overlays you can find pretty much anything with an take up on it.
