Is Obama's refusal to issue a statement about the death of the bassist for the band Slipknot proof of racism?

The bassist for the band Slipknot died now. I don’t listen to that type of music but it just struck me as odd:

Grammy Winner Michael Jackson dies and Obama issues an immediate proclamation. Grammy winner Slipknot bassist dies and Obama says nothing. The only difference I can see is that Jackson was black and Slipknot bassist was white.

Do you reckon this is racism? Even if you don’t reckon this one incident lonely proves racism is the larger trend too large to ignore?

I reckon it’s got more to do with the fact that most people don’t listen to this group and couldn’t really care less about the death unless they were fans. MJ though was a different class of entertainer, personal life and issues aside. To try to draw more from the death now is, at best, a terrible troll attempt only.

dude this is dumb, Michael Jackson was a global icon. slipknots bassist while a excellent musician was not as well renowned. the president cant acknowledge each death in the entertainment industry

Obama issued a proclamation because he supports child molesters, not because MJ was black.
If the dude from Slipknot had hooked up with a few kids from the local elementary school Obama would be throwing the guy a parade.
