What is the cheapest way to get streaming radio?
I live in a remote rural area with no radio reception. I do have internet though, and since there are many stations streaming online, I could connect with a “whole house transmitter” which would rebroadcast the station so that I could receive it with various radios in the house. My question is: What is the best way to get a continuous streaming signal, 24/7? I don’t want to but a computer to use solely for this task, and most of the internet radios that I have read about don’t have excellent reviews. Any Thoughts?

get sirus satellite radio you pick what you listen 2 its like 15 bucks a month. or you could stream Pandora like i do and you type in a band or song you like and it will play songs similar to it. Dont like a song hit the thumbs down and it will not play it again, hit the thumbs up if you like a song. there is a 30sec ad each hour possibly but you can only get 40 free hours a month unless you want to pay for it.

theres a fantastic media player out there that i use called Winamp and one of the things it has is an internet radio streaming function, it has AOL radio and Shoutcast radio and both have tons of stations to choose from, i prefer AOL radio because it comes with a lot more channel options.
house to download is winamp.com
its completely free and its a rather small program

Streaming Internet radio … on the bus
I’ve had my Asus Eee PC for a couple of months now and my Vodafone 3G USB modem for just over a week … but now I listened to streaming Internet radio on my way home on the bus – and the fact I could do that just blew me away.
Set up the laptop and modem and browsed to the station I wanted to listen to (www.pfradio.com), plugged my collapsable Sennheiser PX-100 headphones and then place the laptop and modem back in my new Crumpler bag I bought in Melbourne on Monday and just had that sitting on the floor of the bus next to me (luckily one of the USB ports and headphone jack is on the same side of the Eee as well as one of the ventilation ports) … and it streamed flawlessly all the way home over HSDPA (turbo 3G).
It is seriously awesome.
I have a radio interview that’s being broadcasted nationally on a website. Streaming radio. Is there anyway that I can use a free software that will record it onto a blank CD? Is there anything out there like that?
