How can I video chat on Google Talk?
I did a lot of research and found that Gmail has video chat support, so why not Google Talk? I want to be able to video chat w/out having to open my internet browser and just use Google Talk.
Apparently, for a while, there was video support from embellish, but the site was shut down and thus is a waste of time to me. The plug-in Google supplies only works thru Gmail.
If you know of any plug-in that allows video in Google Talk delight let me know

Step 1
To use Google to have a video chat with a friend, make sure that you and your friend both have gmail accounts.
Step 2
If you both have google email (gmail) accounts, now download and bed in the google voice and video chat plugin.
This will bed in a plugin into gmail to allow you to use google to video chat with friends.
Step 3
After you’ve installed the google video chat plug in, you should be prompted to restart your browser.
A common mistake people often make is to download the google video chat plugin but forget to bed in the plugin, so make sure you download click and instally the video chat plugin.
Step 4
Once you have restarted the browser, log into gmail.
You and your friend should now appear with a video camcorder icon by your names instead of the conservational dot now if you have a webcam installed. (Make sure you both are NOT invisible). The camcorder icon means you both are ready to video chat with each other.
Step 5
Mouse over your friends name and a menu should appear to the right of the mouse showing their name and options of what you can do with them (like email, chat, video&more)
See picture for example showing the video chat menu.
Step 6
Now YOU select “Start video Chat”. Your friend should see a chat window pop up with a video and hear chiming/ringing. You have now initiated a google video chat with your friend.
They should press “Answer” …AND now you can see each other and video chat!
Have fun!
Step 7
After a few video chat sessions, you can work with settings settings for your webcam and google video chat in “Settings” and in the “Chat” Section.
Hope it helps you. For more information http://www.iyogi.co.uk
