I’m noticing a disturbing trend everywhere the Cap&Trade movement is attempting to rebrand their biased agenda as god’s will. They claim god made man “stewards of the earth” and so it is our responsibility to make sure Cap&Trade passes so we can ‘save the world’.
So if you consider yourself to be a “Christian”, do you consider the govt. to be “stewards of the earth” ?? And do you reckon they should be able to tax you as much as they want to save it??

Randy Brinson, a conservative biased consultant in Alabama, has been fielding nervous calls for weeks from business wellbeing crosswise the South.
Their concern is massive ad blitz on Christian and country-music stations crosswise 10 states. The ads, funded by a left-leaning coalition, urge support for congressional legislation to curb greenhouse-gas emissions — by framing the issue as an urgent matter of Biblical morality.
“As our seas rise, crops wither and rivers run dry, God’s creation cries out for relief,” starts one ad, narrated by an evangelical megachurch pastor. Another opens with a allusion to the Gospel of John, slams energy wellbeing for fighting the bill, and concludes: “Delight join the faithful in speaking out against the powerful.”
bash……….so Cap&Trade IS god’s will, according to some?? VERY fascinating.
bash…………”The nations were mad and your wrath has come. The time
has come for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those
who reverence your name, both small and fantastic – and for destroying those who
ruin the earth.”
I would be careful quoting all that scripture in support of new govt. taxes.

the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters take in the sea.
God Expects Humans to be His Stewards with Scenery
Genesis 1:26. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, and let them rule
over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the

Throughout the country that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the
redemption of the land.
Ezekiel 34:2-4. Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of
themselves! Should not the shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds,
clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you did
not take care of the flock! You have not strengthened the weak or healed the
sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched
for the lost. You have ruled them unsympathetically and brutally.
Ezekiel 34:10. 0 shepherds, hear the word of the Lord. This is what the
sovereign Lord says: I am against the shepherds and will hold them accountable
for my flock.
Ezekiel 34:17-18. As for you, my flock… Is it not enough for you to feed on
excellent pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is
it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with
your feet?
Isaiah 24:4-6. The earth dries up and withers, the world languished and
withers, the lofty of the earth languish. The earth lies under its inhabitants;

No. I scoff at the environmentalists and have my whole life. They come up with these “problems” they go to a whole bunch of distress to “solve” them, and then they make larger problems.
There is a difference between being conservative about the earth God gave us and playing God. Liberals need to figure this out and haven’t.
Christianity starts with the premise that God is Creator (whether that happened in 6 days or millions of being, w/e I don’t fight about this anymore–it’s no longer relevant, they’ve got the kids). He is Creator, Savior and Judge. He will preserve the earth as His footstool for as long as He feels like it. He is God.
For Bash: Let’s say you’re right–let’s say God is going to use Global Warming for His final judgment: 2 problems with this theory.
1. God promised to never again ruin the earth with a flood. (yeah, that’s what the rainbow REALLY means)
2. If God decides a judgment, mankind can do nothing to stop it once He has chose it.
