How can I get free music download without getting viruses?

I absolutely cannot stand having viruses, like from limewire. but i absolutely despise paying for itunes music. where can i download free music, with no viruses? kthnksbye.

i use komp3.net….never had any problems and you don’t have to download the programme….just the files…..i use it all the time..

I despise paying iTunes prices too, they suck.

I use http://www.mp3obsession.com/ – it’s not free, but songs are 9¢ each so it’s a LOT cheaper than the all mighty iTunes!

I had limewire and frostwire, but now i can’t use them. for the past few months, i’ve been using youtube to download music, but not every song is on youtube. So, where can i get music downloads for free?

free music is illegal, unless the artist allows it
or it’s public domain

that violates the copyright laws

slimewire was shut down because they allowed illegal downloading
frostwire is illegal too
