Do you think the new "Predators" movie will be good?

Here’s the ad in case you haven’t seen it already:

How do you reckon this movie will be compared to the recent Alien Vs Predator movies (which sucked btw)? The write/producer, Robert Rodriguez, known for his work Sin City among others, originally was hired to write the script for a Predator 3 movie back in 1994, but since the budget was too huge, they chose to scrap it. Now, years later, 20th century fox dug the script back up and allowed Rodriguez to make the movie.

Rodriguez has gone on record to say that the previous films (Predator 2, Alien vs Predator, Aliens vs Predator: Requiem) were crap and that he intends to bring the Predator series back to its former glory with this movie.

The plot seems a lot more creative and fascinating than anything seen in the last few AVP movies: The tale focuses on a small group of characters, which I personally reckon is a excellent formula to go with. The group consists of soldiers, mercenaries and assassins from all over the world, all public who have lived a life of killing. They’ve been abducted by the Predators, taken across the galaxy and deployed on another planet, used as a safari for the Predators, to be hunted for sport by them.

The lead actor in this film is Adrian Brody, an Oscar Winning Actor known for staring in the film The Pianist, as well as the King Kong remake and the recently unrestricted Tie collectively (all of which got excellent reviews.) Now, public all over the new have been busting this movies balls because of Adrian Brody life the lead man as different to an Arnold Schwarzenegger type guy…

Brody seems like a excellent guy and I loved later his adventure in King Kong. I don’t really see what’s so terrible about him life the lead guy, at least this film has some damn actors this time! The characters in AVP 1 and 2 were played by complete nobodies! They may have well have been public the film crew found off the street! To have an actual ACTOR, someone who has starred in many fantastic films in the last few years, star in the film is a blessing in itself. And I mean… come on… How fantastic is Arnold’s the theater arts really? He’s a grunt (no offense). Brody’s role isn’t supposed to replace Arnold, he’s a new fascinating character all collectively. And plus, he got ripped for this movie which shows fantastic deal of devotion and seriousness in the part he played.

Next, there’s frickin’ Morpheus from the Matrix. Another fantastic actor! Topher Grace, better known as Eric Foreman from That 70′s Show… He also played Venom in Spiderman 3 (which I was a small ‘meh’ about..) Now, I can see how some public may maybe flip shit about that… Eric Foreman VS Predator!? Yeah, if he was a soldier and everything, that would be kind of messed up… In fact, I really hope he doesn’t manage to somehow kill any Predators in the movie… But the role Grace plays is that of a medical doctor, who is intended to seem out of place among the rest of the soldiers. Apparently but (and sorry for the spoiler) he’s also supposed to be a serial killer. So that seems like a cool enough twist………………..But I still hope he doesn’t kill any Predators. He should kill one of the additional humans.

The main girl is played by Alice Braga, who starred alongside Will Smith in I Am Legend, so there’s another actor who’s well recognized. And Danny Trejo, another one of the actors, has had a lot of roles in Rodriguez’s films. And everyone else seems cool. All the characters seem pretty fascinating, with their own back tales and what not, they seem pretty decently written.

The thought of of having the movie take place ON ANOTHER PLANET is 1000 times cooler than anything they did in AVP. A whole new weird environment to explore, filled with all sorts of deadly alien creatures the humans will encounter and have to fight off to survive. AND what’s also cool is that this tale features a conflict between 2 different Predator tribes, both clans at war with each additional, so some Predator vs Predator action sounds really gifted. As for another cool action system, the scene in which the japanese guy takes on a Predator WITH A FLIPPIN’ SAMURAI SWORD LOOKS KICKASS! I can not wait to watch that fight.

anyway. it at least LOOKS a lot cooler and better than AVP, has some descent actors in it and is really life made by a well-known writer/director. I just hope it’s descent, of course i don’t expect anything of Avatar proportions, but at least something that doesn’t completely suck. But I have doubts…. Nothing seems to ever go right these days.

Anyway, all we can do is hope for the best and expect the worst…

yes i have seen footage and it looks fantastic i have seen some ones skull and spine life ripped out of their back and i have seen some traps the predators will use and i have seen new breeds of predators which look meaner than the classic predator. it looks like it will be the best in the series of predator movies

I’ve reviewed each of these films before but I have chose to compile them into one record and improve the sound quality. I have still used the same audio in the record. ‘The Matrix’ is owned by Warner Bros. I do not own any rights to the trailers or images used in the record.
