What kind of music is this?

Everytime I go to the gym, they’re before a live audience really cool music, but I don’t know what KIND of music it is. Sounds like techno/electronica, but there’s really a singer that sings constantly (not like 5 words in the whole song that’s life repeated, if you know what i mean) and it’s usually a female. I tried lots of music samples on amazon, but still can’t find this type of music. I should probably question the gym public, but for now, i’ll try some of your responses. Throw out some random singers of this music..I guess that would help!

i don’t listen to techno music much, but heres a few artists i know of-

cascada (you can just look her up on itunes or whatever…)
myah marie (you’ll have to google her and then click her myspace link, she’s not on itunes, she isn’t very well known any but her music is really excellent, i reckon.)

OH and for myah marie, i reccomend LIES AND RIPPED JEANS. best song!

Im making a ‘fan’ website for a well known artist. It will feature a large discography and i want to place music samples (20-30 seconds) of each album track next to its name so public can obviously sample a section of each track.

I can do this via amaons mp3 widget but its buggy and troublesome, it is really simpler for me to use a flash player on my site and link to actual mp3s on my site.

so my question is, would this be legal – considering i may maybe do the same business with amazons player (even if it would be less attractive for me)
