No one can know whether or not a supreme life exists or not. Godel used logic to prove the existence of a god, but never mind that. So this question is not answerable, because no one can know what acts a god may exchange upon the universe, whether as a result of prayers or not. Evidence in the observable world points toward a supreme life that does not interfere with the proceedings of the kn own universe in any way.

So it would seem that the answer to your question is yes, but it cannot be known. But, the power of positive postulation that often accompanies prayer can have a profound effect on certain outcomes.
