I like the in-depth coverage. They take time to tell the whole tale instead of just a 10 sec sound bite. They also show both sides of an issue.

I listen to NPR when I want to hear the details of a tale or more in-depth coverage. The tales are not just headline sound bites nor cursory overviews of tales or issues but get to the heart of matters. I may not always agree interviewers’ or interviewees’ individual biases, but the reporting of a tale allows me to draw a more intelligent understanding and opinion in the larger context.

NPR also offers many more tales that I find very fascinating that are not even touched on by mainstream media outlets. It nearly makes me feel like I am life let in on world secrets sometimes.

Oh, and I like listening in the car with my boys when we are on the road. It gives us lots of talking points for fascinating conversations.

Jefferson Public Radio, or JPR, is an brilliant network in Oregon. Unfortunately…

I don’t watch FOX. If you get rid of the waste then maybe we may maybe really agree on social spending to save lives. Idiots that talk about NASCAR just make your side sound stupid.

Seems like NASCAR is very dear to your heart, red neck. LOL
