Do you ever get disgusted with all of the people asking....?

Do you ever get disgusted with all of the people asking....?

How to hack their school’s network to get to their MySpace account?

How, where, or what program to download illegal music and movies with?

Using abbreviated IM language with terrible grammar and thirty punctionation inscription like it will make a difference?

Some stupid question that may maybe be answered easily and much more clearly in any of the umpteen search engines all over the internet?

How cool their computer gaming rig is?

Why their computer or printer is broken, making some wierd noise and how to fix it after they saw smoke coming out after they accidently dropped something inside, snapped something off or experimented with something they weren’t sure would work?

Please share what question annoys you the most….(besides mine)
Dr. Bucks…I am so with you on that one.
Aug73…If the answer is witty, I’ll still give it a thumbs up. It may not answer the question, but sometimes…Not answering or answering with a stupid answer is more than enough to get your point across.
add6321,

I’ve not ventured into the pregnancy area, but I got really creeped out by some of the public in Married/Divorced area asking about having an affair with some married person and how to go about it nicely, etc…
G M,

I know what you’re saying in regards to trying to clarify where we’re going, but the conundrum is…trying to interpret the advances for the general public in non-geek speak.
Charitable Hope….I really forgot about the PC vs. Mac one. That one drives me bonkers. How many ways can you clarify that it is Apples to Oranges when twenty additional public are saying, “PC sucks, get a Macbook”, “Linux rules” or “Vista sucks. Do you hear me Microsoft?”….
J Dawg, you make some very valid positive points….It’s nice to run into public who reckon with a fresh perspective.

I do not mind the questions because I can always not answer them .

what I despise more is the amount of public on here that answer Tech questions that have no damn clue what they are talking about

It’s annoying that stupid questions are questioned and smart-ass answers are agreed just for the points. This answer isn’t annoying!!! or is it???

Answer by add6139
I don’t get disgusted, just aggravated. Especially by the questions that can easily be searched, and the terrible/text language. By the way, my largest pet annoy is the “Am I pregnant” question. Its like, how the heck should I know. Go take a test already!!

Answer by melissathegreat09
You’ve pretty much covered it. I generally pity persons public. It must be very hard living with such crippling stupidity. Haha.

mm. but then there’s persons who on top of poor grammar and punctuation spew out nonsense that they would never say in person. Ah, the boldness of anonymity.

Answer by Joel S
None of these has really ever bothered me, except for the one about grammar. I find it incredibly annoying when public use extreme shorthand to communicate, failing to use assess punctuation, spelling, etc.

Give your answer to this question below!

I am registered with and using my college network. For the past three days i have been getting an email stating that “we have detected a computer, registered to you, exhibiting behavior that may maybe be the result of a virus exploit or file serving activity. What has alerted us is the device has been corresponding with a large number of off-campus computers over small periods of time, or the device has been downloading/uploading large amounts of data to/from the Internet, or both.” i did download some music while not using the campus network but i COMPLETELY stopped once on campus. i have been watching some streaming videos (from youtube etc.) but should that trigger this message? ive never had a conundrum in the past? may maybe my past downloads trigger these emails? i am tempted to go question at their help line, but wouldnt want them to catch my DLs, plus i have visited a few ‘adult’ websites since ive been on the network and am a small embarrassed they might look at that. the email also says “we DO NOT look at the content of the data flowing to/from computers, the detected activity may have a legitimate purpose. If that is so and you are aware of the computer activity, you may disregard this notice.” may maybe someone be hacking my computer and transfering data? (i wouldnt reckon so, but i guess you never know?) also, can these campus networks see what i type such as this message or something i search for in google? or do they just see the website URL? i will just try not to use my computer too much and see if i still get the warning? any thoughts?

Answer by Rina S
They do track it, they do see the the urls you are visiting , if you do not heed their warning you might be kicked out of the college as well.
