How do you cancel a BearShare subscription you never consented to?

I received an email saying I had signed up for a BearShare account but I have never signed up for their service. How do I cancel this account? I haven’t installed the software or anything.

And how do you make it your default for music? I want to transfer files from media player to Zune and it can’t be done from bearshare.
