I downloaded yahoo music engine and downloaded songs but I cannot burn a cd why?

I also cant get all of them in my media player, all I want to do is burn a cd but it wont let me. Each time it tells me that the songs arent burnable. I bought it to be able to download music and burn cds, but I cant even do that, so may maybe someone please clarify this to me, and help me out.

you need to save all the songs first then can burn as all the songs now at your computer!

I have a couple of suggestions. If you have downloaded MP3′s some of the music software such as Yahoo Music Engine, or I tunes use “publishing” rights to restrict your use of the downloaded songs. I know in I tunes, I first grab my music in MP3 format from music cd’s using another shareware MP3 ripper program (audiograbber, free download on download.com), then copy the mp3 file over into I tunes, this circumvents most of the copyright shinanigans. (I have paid for the first CD and the Honest use copies to which I am entitled) Also some of the Music Store programs restrict the number of copies that you can make of a song bought through their service.

Secondly are you trying to burn a CD with CD formatted songs, or a CD with MP3 formatted songs. I would make sure I am trying to burn Mp3 files onto a Data format CD disc, and not trying to burn Mp3 files onto a CD format CD disk. If you burn CD tracks onto a CD then they will play through practically any cd player, but take up a whole lot more room on the disc. You can fit many more Mp3 files onto a CD disk, but then you can only play the music back on Mp3 capable players. Even if you can convert Mp3 files back into cd files, you do lose some quality each time it is done.

Yahoo Music Engine (YME) (now called Yahoo Music Jukebox – YMJ) is a media player similar to Windows Media Player. It is free to download and use.

Yahoo Music Boundless is a subscription service that uses YME/YMJ to let you download and listen to music of your choice on your PC. If you subscribe to the higher-level YMU To Go, you can download subscription tracks to an MP3 player. Persons songs are temporarily licenced, and you cannot burn persons tracks

With YME/YMJ, you can hold individual tracks for 99 cents (or 79 cents if you are a YMU subscriber), and persons can be burnt to a CD. Your license for persons is stable, not temporary.

There is also a YMJ Plus which is not free that gives you nearer and better burning.

Confusing, isn’t it? Hope this helps.

Wouldn’t we all! YMU costs $ 5.99/month when you sign up for a year (and there was a promotion to get an extra year if you used a Mastercard), and then you can download “boundless” songs. But for free? C’mon dude, get real!
