Is there any site similar to TrackTesting for literature?
TrackTesting is a website where you get $ .89 Amazon gift cards for listening to sound clips of tracks that are pretty obscure, so bands can see if their music is any excellent, how it can be improved, and whether or not it might be excellent enough for a record mark.
It’s not a scam, really, I’ve used the Amazon gift cards to buy two CDs so far.
The question I have is, is there any site similar to this for evaluating literature?

i judge amazon run a similar scheme for books but can’t find details
my belief is based on having read customer reviews before the book is officially unrestricted!

Art is Not Truth
Based on a quote by David Shields from his book,Reality Hunger.
Made with iPad and iPhone applications:
AUDIO:
The sequenced music track was made with iSequence on an iPad and then pasted into StudioTrack.
The "Art is Not Truth" vocal line was made with Speak It! on an iPhone, played through the speaker and recorded into iSequence through the microphone
The mixed audio track was exported to a MacBook Pro, mastered in GarageBand and then imported into ReelDirector.
VIDEO:
The text animation was made in Doink on an iPad and then record recorded through an iPhone camera. The resulting clips were effected through Hollywood FX Record Maker, Record FX Bundle, Vintage Record Maker and ReelDirector.
The final record was edited and rendered in ReelDirector.
I might be teaching a History of Well loved Music: 1950-present class next semester at my former high school, and while I consider for myself positively knowledgeable about a variety of artists and styles…I have no thought what book I would use to teach from, or to order for the students to use themselves!
I’ve looked on Amazon and found a few things, read the reviews and searched inside them, but they didn’t really sit right with me; “A History of Rock Music, 1951-2000″ by Piero Scaruffi and not even the Rolling Stone’s Illustrated History or “Rock and Roll Year By Year” by Luke Crampton and Dafydd Rees looked like a possibility, but I’m not sure..I own Heatley’s “Definitive Illustrated Encyclopedia of Rock”, which might come in clever. I would of course also be before a live audience albums, showing clips of performances and music videos and having them do independent research/listening I’m pretty jazzed about the possibility of educating young public about music history, so any suggestions are most welcome!

There are customer reviews on certain websites like amazon. It may take a small research to do it this way. Also check out the community library or Barnes and Noble.

“History of Pop, Rock, and Soul” by Irwin Stambler, it’s alphabetized by artist(s), so excellent I nicked it from my college library!
