Is this way of downloading music illegal? Using a directory?

I’m curious as to if this is illegal. What you do is search for music in google under a directory, and then download the targeted file. If the music is online and able to be searched by google, is it illegal? an example of this type of search is

http://www.jimmyr.com/mp3_search.php

it seems like it should be ok, but i thought id be safe and question

I am not reasonably sure to be honest. Limewire is illegal. Don’t go there. They break copyright laws. As in they don’t question for premisson to use the artists’ music. MP3 Rocket is completely free and legal. They question for premisson. It works on Ipod’s, zune’s, and mp3 players. Hence the name, excellent luck!

its a torrent so no its not legal

The only way to legally download music for free online is to get it directly from the band. If the band’s official page (myspace or the webpage) has downloads available, you can use it. Any additional source is not legal.
