I not going to tell you to do it cause I dont want to get in distress. But yes you can get fined for downloading movies. Older movies I wouldnt worry to much about. but if your downloading a huge hit a or a very new movie… be warned it may maybe happen. Oh and the fines are NOT 200 dollars. Reckon larger… WAY larger. One woman from, i dont remember where, was fine $ 400,000 for just 24 songs… But for a movie… alot more. Just keep in mind ANY and ALL torrent files are Illegal. The whole torrent business its self is illegal.

Of course you can get into distress for downloading movie torrents.
Disparate driving over the speed limit(which happens everyday and so many public get away with it), downloading copyrighted material is a centralized crime(the fines aren’t chump exchange).
I personally know two public who were busted. One was a former work-mate’s daughter. What usually happens is that the FBI will throw a HUGE number at the offender as a fine(as much as $ 100,000 per song, and as much as $ 250,000 per movie) and possible prison time(centralized prison, not your cozy small county jail). Then they offer a plea. Pay a much lower amount as a fine(still several thousand dollars), and they don’t throw the book at you. My work-mate finished up paying a $ 4,000 fine for his daughter(she was under the age of 18 at the time).
The simplest way of not getting in distress is the same as not getting caught speeding, just plain don’t do it. If you reckon the payoff is greater than the risk, then by all earnings……

Yes, indeed you can get a huge fine, but I suggest to take legal and the main site is not expensive. Excellent luck.

Answer by No.
Persons websites are really just hosting the .torrent files, the files themselves are on .torrent trackers. Usually sites with their own trackers, both public and private, have the fastest download tariff. For a public site, ThePirateBay is the best available. For private, meaning your seeding to downloading ratio is monitored so that you don’t just leech and it is usually invite only, TorrentLeech (ironic) and Demonoid are the most efficient.
