Does Apple TV transfer movies that I have already purchased on iTunes on my computer over to watch it on my TV?

I am considering getting Apple TV for my dad for Christmas, and I am wondering if it will transfer over videos I have already bought in iTunes on my computer. Will I have to rent them again on my Apple TV or will they transfer over from my connected computer or wirelessly. If so how and how simple is it?

Any answer would be greatly appreciated, as well as any reviews on Apple TV.

It will transfer the movies. For rented movies you have to, inside of iTunes on your computer, drag the movie onto the device on the left pane, or so I’ve read. But you can transfer them. Also, if you have any bought movies you can any sync them over to be stored on Apple TV or you can keep them stored on your computer and just spill them wirelessly to Apple TV. It’s a pretty cool product that I judge will continue to gain functionality through software updates. I’m really hoping to get one for myself this Christmas. Excellent luck with everything.

I was thinking about getting one of persons record iPods because I have some movies on my computer, but I’m thinking Apple has some business where the movies are going to have to be bought from Apple or something stupid like that. Any thoughts?

Nope! you can use converters and additional software to place movies, like your DVDs to the ipod(which Saves You A LOT of Money).

nope, much like itunes music, all you need to do is convert the movie to the format used on ipods =)
