Q&A: Why is it when I google search "Adam & Eve", the first three articles are adult sex toys/movies?

I wanted to read about the Adam & Eve tale in Birth. The fourth google result was a Wikipedia article describing Adam & Eve from the book of Birth in the bible, but the first three articles were sex toys.

What does this say about public? Does this mean there are more sex perverts than Christians using the internet?

Because sick public in the porn industry like to use the naked in the garden image probably. Anyways to search about them I would add something like, “information about adam and eve the first humans” or something to that effect.

I don’t agree with the correlation between sex toys and perversity.Anyhow-the fact is Google is in business to make money.Adam and Eve is a company that’s been in the “adult novelties” business for a very long time-primarily selling to Americans who no doubt consider themselves “Christian”.Like any additional business online it is competitive.What most of the successful companies(doesn’t matter if you’re selling sex toys,auto parts or fishing gear) do is pay Google a fee to have their site appear higher in search rankings based on certain “keywords”-usually that’s the company name and the primary product(s) or service(s) they offer.When public click on persons adds (and they are adds -they’re usually confirmed as such just to the right -and highlighted in color) Google collects a fee from the company that paid for the “keyword”.This is how Google makes(a lot of) their money.

Google does offer the option to bypass most of this content if you find it objectionable-on the high right of the Google searchpage there is a “search settings” tab-if you click that and scroll down to “safesearch filtering” click the radio button that says “use strict filtering” then click “save preferences” at the bottom- try your search again and most likely that site will be filtered out.

Adam&Eve is one of the largest adult product retailer ,they simply were working on SEO(search engine optimization),so they can be on the 1st page of Google for this key words. Its simple to manipulate Google if you know how,and if you have small bit of money. Thats why do not trust Google search results.
