yahoo Mail?

All of a sudden I can’t access my Yahoo Mail on Internet Exporer browser. What may maybe be the conundrum

i have noticed a few websites not working right…. i have a really strong feeling it is to do with the time exchange computer problems… its like a mini y2k………… make sure everybody updates thier computers and more importantly like palm pilots and stuff.

My mail is not working any… Have two accounts and cannot log into any of them. Ya reckon Yahoo would have realized that there was a time exchange plotted and may maybe have dealt with it long before having problems? Nawwww,,, sure does not appear to be that way.

Here is the iPhone receiving Yahoo! mail over iMap. Encryption you say? no need!
Fortunately, they do encrypt the authentication component now (likely after the Zimbra posting…)

Does anyone know what the incoming ma?tre d’h?tel type and name as well as the outgoing ma?tre d’h?tel name for Yahoo Mail are?

In order to use a separate email program, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, or Thunderbird, with Yahoo Mail you need to pay for Yahoo Mail Plus. It is also required when you try to transfer the mail using smtp or pop3 to another online email. When you do you can set the servers as follows (these are recent changes):
Incoming (pop3) – plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing (smtp) – plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

As an alternative there is an add on called YPOPS that you can download and try.

Ypops is working on an update as we speak!!

If you want to use Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird or additional third party email clients to view your email you have 2 options.
Subscribe to mail plus:

http://billing.mail.yahoo.com/bm/Upgrades

or download and install YPOPS

then follow the directions for your version of outlook here,

If you have distress with set up, check the YPOPS installation page for every second set up instructions.

Click on YPOPS link on the left.
Then Click on Configuring email clients towards the bottom.
Choose the apt link for your mail client.

I currently utilize version 2.0.0.4 of Thunderbird
and version 0.8.3 of YPOPS (there is a more recent version of YPOPS that you need if you are Yahoo Beta Mail) and have no problems.
