Can a Sony Reader download Kindle books from Amazon?

I’m new to these and want to get the Sony Reader but want to know if will show the same harvest as the Kindle.

No, sorry. I have a Kindle, and they are very uptight about that kind of business. They make sure that their books can only be read on the Kindle. I like my Kindle, but Amazon is a small strict when it comes to their content.

Sony Reader is completely different from the Amazon Kindle. I’ll say you better choose the Kindle, it just has a price drop (you can always see the latest price on its homepage) and it is now cheaper than Sony Reader. There are much more choice for books on the Kindle too. I’ve elaborated more about this in another answer here:

You can’t read Kindle books on Sony Reader. It is better to get Kindle because they give much more variety of books. There is a thorough review here, which also compares the Kindle with Sony, iRex, etc.
