tips for good online radio?

i like ancient blues and jazz music, and also some new soul stuff. artists i like to listen to are in the ranks of:
sarah vaughan
ella fitzgerald
billie holiday
john lee hooker
amy winehouse
tom waits
screaming jay hawkins
muddy waters
bo diddley

etc

do you have any online streaming radio stations that plays ^that^ kinda stuff?
edit: thanks for the Pandora tip, but i’m not in the US and i don’t really want to go through hoops to get it play for me =/

Pandora is fantastic. You can choose an artist that you like and Pandora will play music that is similar to it. Additionally, I have found the radio widget within iTunes to be very excellent, too. There is a vast choice of radio stations (including things that you would delight in).

Pandora radio (pandora.com). You type in an artist or song you like and it’ll play music that is similar. It’s really excellent for result new music you’ll like, and it also usually ends up before a live audience excellent songs you already like and know.

I listen to it all the time- every genre you can imagine, and it’s free if you don’t mind a few commercials, or you can pay for a VIP membership that has better quality sound, no commercials, and more stations. Searchable by genre.

apparently you have internet…(unless at a library) so i would suggest pandora radio online. it takes examples of your music and chooses music like it

hi.

i’m trying to find a streaming free radio direct, only music, sutible for my restaurant. i’m getting rather fed up with these jazz-cd’s we’ve got here.,

anyone know anything?

I really don’t know of any place online but I use the music channels from my cable tv in my restaurant. No commercials and I wouldn’t use persons channels otherwise but I still get charged for them so why not?

once you on that page, (it might take sometime to load up because it’s a lot of graphics) you will see two rectangle box near the left top of the page. One said Hip Hop, and additional said Simple Listening, you can click on any one of persons depending of what type of music you want to listen to, and it’s none stop it really cool. I hope that help.
